Good Luck. With a little practice you'll be working like a pro. Source(s): 20 years building and 15 years engineering If it's a three sided window, the angle is 22 1/2 degrees. Each set of windows intersect at a 45 deg. angle. Each sill needs to make up half of that angle, or 22 1/2. I'm assuming that you're talking about the ears that extend under the casing. Cut the sills with the ears left long. Set the center one in place without cutting the ears. Cut a 22 1/2 deg miter on each of the others. Set them on blocks so the ears sit on top of the center sill ears. Now mark both ends of center sill ears by tracing the cuts from the other two. Make sure you leave the pencil lines. Doing it this way saves you from having to tweak the cuts if they don't match up perfectly. This way ensures that they will. You can't trust that the window was made perfectly and that both sides are exactly 45 deg. There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal.
